Changing Aircraft Allegiance
Marcus 'Blaze' Drake posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Say I download a fighter and it has an assigned nation, but I want to flight (or fight) that craft with another nation. In other words, how can I make a US aircraft into a Soviet aircraft, and use Soviet weapons with that craft? More specifically, I want to change the allegiance of these fighter jets: to Soviet: F-14D F-15 Active F-19 F-24 Shadowcat to US: MIG-29OVT Of course, I want to fly them with full weapon capabilities. How can I do this? -

Thanks. That's all I need to know. My brother loves WOE and he's been dying to fly with certain Soviet planes on the US side. After all, would you really want to fly a cool Mig-29 only to constantly get blown out of the air by F-15's? -

Ah, so modifying the LOADOUT file isn't necessary? -

I see. Sometime ago, I downloaded a US Su-27 from this site, which is similiar in design of the Soviet version jet. I noticed I slight contrast in there LOADOUT files. Check this: In both versions, they had this for there station listings: // Station 01 = Left Outer Wing - IRM // Station 02 = Right Outer Wing - IRM // Station 03 = Left Wing - IRM // Station 04 = Right Wing - IRM // Station 05 = Left Inner Wing - IRM,AHM,SAHM // Station 06 = Right Inner Wing - IRM,AHM,SAHM // Station 07 = Centerline Front Station - IRM,AHM,SAHM // Station 08 = Centerline Rear Station - IRM,AHM,SAHM // Station 09 = Left engine Station - IRM,AHM,SAHM // Station 10 = Right engine Station - IRM,AHM,SAHM However, the Soviet Flanker, had these for the AirToAir and AirToAirLongRange settings: Loadout[01-04].WeaponType=R-73M1 Loadout[05,06].WeaponType=R-27ER Loadout[07-10].WeaponType=R-77 (Of course, we all know this isn't exactly how it looked) While the US Flanker had these settings: Loadout[01-04].WeaponType=AIM-7P Loadout[05-10].WeaponType=AIM-120C-1 Any reason for that?
