ROEs - Are they modeled in SF2?

Are ROEs modeled within SF2 (for the AI). Be it, White (Weapons Hold), Yellow (Weapons Tight) or Red (Weapons Free)??? Janes F-18 has this and can be used quite well when creating scenarios and not knowing exactly what will happen. I haven't seen a place within the editor on ROEs. Just curious, if possible. Or is it more or less....if Enemythe AI enemy spots your aircraft they will automatically try to engage / fire.... -

What is a good use (distance within SF2) to keep aircraft that are doing jamming missions. Should they be kept right within the Strike group....or can they be flown somewhat further away from the going in strike group but still be effective. Say and EA-6B for example... Also, it would be very nice in an editor upgrade to be able to single at a specific target. Say an SA-2 SAM site for a AI friendly plane to hit (as an objective). Not simply air defense, but if you wanted to assign a particular SAM site to be taken out to friendly units....again as an objective for that unit to be successful. -
All of a sudden SF2 won't recognize my flightstick?

Yep. Finally got it to re-recognize it - Reset all my settings - Ok now - Odd part is took about 7 or 8 restarts to get it to even act like it was plugged in. Jumped over to J-F18 and had no problems.... -

Out of the blue, now SF2 will not recognize my 568 Combatstick (USB)?? Simply only seems to detect my keyboard and mouse? I've done no updates recently. Just stopped recognizing it as an option. It is a somewhat new stick, not been used much. Janes F-18 still has it working. -
Up close view for Radar / Track While Scan?

This maybe a dumb question.....but is there a way to get a close up view of your Radar (screen size view). It is sometimes hard to read. In JF-18 you can close right up on the radar. But I can't seem to do that when flying (mainly flying the F-14) but I've flown stock F-4s as well...and can't seem to get a close up view on my radar. -

1. In the editor is there a way when placing an aircraft that a waypoint pattern wouldn't already be assigned to it. It is a rather useless task having to delete / move around WP spots. It would be much easier just to create your own from the start after placing your plane. 2. Is there any way to keep track of how friendly AI planes (not in your flight) have fared at the end of a mission. Say, I'm a flight of F-14 providing air superiority to a larger bombing mission. Is there any way to see how many A-6s, EAB6s, F-4s returned to base at the end of the mission? If not, this would be a nice feature. 3. Is it possible to datalink to a E-2 type plane? To get more situational awareness? I know hiting Tab-7 provides you with someswhat the same thinig (but it often isn't as timely as I would hope to create).... 4. The target zone area is also somewhat cumbersome.....It would be much nicer to be able to simply point and click (expand / decrese size) of a target zone for a given AI aircraft. To have to do it via assoicated with a map name I don't find as seamless in creating new missions... -
Editing weapon loadouts of ThirdWire Airplanes?

I have been able to edit / adjust add-on aircraft I have downloaded. Via going to the Mydoc/Thirdwire/SF2 Expansion/ Objects/Aircrafts folder...... However, can one edit the loadouts of original aircraft within the game? Those original aircraft while I see a folder (say and F4E) within the folder is simply 1 configuration file (not a loadout.ini) file. This is the same for all the aircraft that our original with the game. I have SF2 Israel, Europe and Expansion 2. -

My fault (in my last reply). You were correct. I meant to say, after taking more care...and lining my dates up correctly.....the AI Mig 29 and 31s ARE firing their weapons correctly and more aggressively now......Thanks for the hellp! -

Malibu43 - I suspect you're correct - I likely had my dates conflicting with the aircraft. I've since taken more time to make sure all is lined up right....and I'm not seeing SAHM and AHM being fired! -

I have yet to see the enemy AI fire a SAHM or active missle at me? I've been playtesting Vs Mig-31 over and over....and continually I close in until it will only fire IR once in range? The Mig-31 is outfitted with both 2IR and 4 SAHM. Pilot set to "average" skill.... Just curious if this has just been a few coincidences ....as coming from Janes F-18, I'm certain I would have been painted and lit up by now ... -
DL the Mirage Factory Mig 29 (no loadouts?)

I've DL the Mirage Factory Mig-29 and it looks great....but upon standard flying it comes with an empty loadout - Which can be worked around when flying myself at the loadout screen. However, if I want the AI (enemy Red) to fly it......they don't have any missles to fire? How can I correct this? I have opened the aircraft fight and within its Loadout.ini it does seem to show it suppose to have 6 AA missles as its standard loadout.... How to Quesiton (add Aim-120 to F-14, example)

I've looked around the forums. And I can't seem to figure out exactly how to add a new weapon system to an existing aircraft (that isn't currently outfitted to carry such a weapon). I'm just play testing around and for example. Say I wanted to have an F-14 capable to carry an AIM-120. How could I go about this?
