I'm finally at the point to not even answering the"I'm leaving" posts...go over to Major Lees and go to the comms room.The latest patch version was just released to the testers Jan. 10.I'm sorry if I step on toes but if you want to go..by all means just go.Don't waste my time explaining why you don't like SF...yes Falcon 4 is great,I play it alot,but it was worse than SF ever dreamed of being,when I first bought it it was junk.CFS3 is still junk and I have foound most M$ releases are until the communities fix them,Janes F-18,EAW,Mig Alley all these are being made better,IL-2 great sim alot of support ,USAF is great now that it's been modded,again when first released...you guessed it -junk.So don't waste time and bandwidth complaining..Christ I got alot of grips about alot of sims..yes everyone that I see praised here..I can trash them real fast. I'm sorry if I stepped on toes but it seems people have short memories,not long ago the same things we're reading here were being said about most of the sims I mentioned above. I'm not singling out anybody,so don't go getting all defencive on me, but come on guys if SF is to survive we need to stick together.

OK go over to Major Lees and on the his home page watch the Amazing Marines video..no not because it's a Marine film but watch the AA guns..yes they work!

Tman the patch is currently in development and should released soon(we all hope).as for the CTDs I've been lucky..try this turn things down abit and try it.I've heard people saying they turned things down and that seemed to help.of course others said it didn't so it's a 50/50 chance.if you have all the latest drivers and updates for video and sound cards and windows updates.

Tman,first did you used to Fly RB3D? as for the sparrow..it's a med. range missile..what settings are you using? and yes bore sight works well.look at the knowledge base and theres a artical on radars there.the aim7 is not a fire and forget weappon so when you employ it bore sight will work best as you must keep your target painted and bracketed,directly off your nose.also the aim 9 is a rear aspect IR weapon so head on launchs will result in a small percentage of hits.if you use the hard settings beware as you have no boxes on the hud and the radar screen will only have a large X in to tell you you're locked.this could be your wingman,trust me it happens ,the best thing is to just practice alot.any more questions I'll do my best to help.

Oh I feel so much better..the only side effects are - shakes,sweating,weight gain,I'm cranky,night sweats and a small bout of nerves..oh yeah I think my hairs falling out,and I have uncontrollable flatulation...I feel so much better!! and did I mention the stomach craps,blurred vision and this darn twitch in my right eye,and a rash from the patches.But I'm hangin in! :casstet:

IL-2 is THE WW2 sim on the market today..period thte FMs and DMs are second to none and with Forgotten Battles coming along soon...I will be waiting in laine for that one.As for M$ I enjoy a flight around the mountain in FS2K and after buying CFS3 I decided never agin would I tryst MS for combat flight sims.

I went to sim hq and looked over their forums...I have to say that was my first and last visit.every forum was filled with people that asked good questions only to have the answers become down right insulting at times.I for one would have been banned from that board real fast.Jeff has a great place here and let sall work to keep it from becoming another sim hq. The only other place I've found even close to sim hq is the "official"IL-2 board. They both truely suck for getting useful info,so Jef you've done a great job here,don't change a thing.

heres a reply from the forum in the link under pic: "My girlfriend translated it for me and I thought I would post a couple of extra details. It says that the left gear didn't extend fully on approach. On touchdown the tire blew out and the plane went to the left off of the runway and all of the gears broke. When the front gear broke it caused the cockpit to break loose. (This part we had a hard time figuring out. It mentions something about the 'blue shield' hanging cockpit being lost in the intake. She thought blue shield refered to a name brand or maker of the item that was lost). The right wing leading edge then plowed into the ground creating the ditch you see in the pictures. This caused an auxilary fuel tank to twist and begin leaking but no fire began. The rear seat WSO was impacted hard by ground terrain and suffered a broken right shoulder. The pilot was only bruised and exited the plane right after it stopped. That is a rough translation of the major points. Hope it helps! "

every sim has growing pains...if you want trash run out and get a copy of CFS3...or think back to Falcon 4 first released version,or SDOE.Some games are just plain fun,even when not everything works and this is one of them.yes theres lots of problems and nobody has said there isn't but until they are fixed all Chief and Ranger and others are saying is why mess up a really fun experience by complaining?I have been a member of the Wolfpack league that plays Silent Hunter 2 since before that sim was released and yes we were VERY disappointed by it when released..but we stuck together and worked through it.Now it's been patched,once official by company,once by the community,and a completely new MP engine has been released and installed by the community with the help of the company.Instaed of complaining and whining,stay in touch,BUT BE NICE,with TK through the forums at various sites,help the modders,and come out and fly some.

my first dynamic campain was with Mig Alley..still love that sim. yes it adds something to a sim but the MP experience is what draws me and holds me.

I saw at simhq that a huey was being worked on..like everybody else,a vietnam campain ...the pieces are coming into place..theB-52,hueys,migs,and the ingame fighters.once the sams and AAA work the options are unlimited.

I still play F-18...I hope the MP and the game play is as smooth as that.

if you don't mind the wait..geForce will have the Radeon"killer".Been hearing alot of news about the new card...price will be high.I've seen both G4 and 9700pro in systems and like I said my new system will have the 9700 pro in it.

GeForce is saying the their new card will be THE card...but the 9700 pro will rock.I think thats going in my new system.
