Ok Im running KMD from my mods folder. I see the terrain map and the aircraft pull down is populated, but the loadout, nation, or camo pull down is blank. Ive applied the latest patch but something wrong. -

Ah the devilish UAC, that makes sense. OK thanks for the info guys. I forget that not everyone is in the local admin group of their PC and has UAC disabled. :) Because Ive been wondering what all the fuss about running under vista was about after TK released the last set of patches for the G1 series. -

Why did TK decide to make this file structure change? Especially given the number of third party and "aged" aircraft for us it just seems like a PITA. He had to have some rationalization for it. -
Its that time again, Ive got to order a new calendar. Id really like to find a Russian version of "Air Superiority 2009" from historicaviation.com. Ive searched and cant find anything remotely like it. Those guys have got to want calendars of Flankers, Fishbeds, and Foxhounds. Anyone know where I can find one? Thanks

I dont ever remember him slandering the Soviet Army. Talking about alcoholism, corruption, cronyism, and communism being bad yes but the idea I took away from reading his books was that while not the most efficient or technically savy Soviet troops were some hard SOB's that you didnt want to tangle with. Now admittedly the whole connection between penal battalions and Spetznatz I always thought was weird but now I know when somebody pushes me inside a tent and theres a white towel on the ground I better wipe my feet on it! :) But seriously his quote of : "If he dies then he is no good for Spetnatz" pretty much sums it up. These are guys you want to fight beside not against.

But on the plus side apparently theyre not as worried about on-set safety and I remember a few scenes in Stalingrad where concussion from an artillery round raised dust right beside an occupied trench. I think that was real, and I dont think they could have gotten away with that here in the States. Ofcourse youd be right saying the Soviets dont loose sleep over safety either. :)

Funny you should say that. It makes me recall something similar he said in "Inside the Aquirium". About one of his informants, how if he could he would make a camp full of of informants and forget to feed them.

How to fly the Mirage in WOI?
Blond_Knight posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Im having some trouble during the Six day war campaign. Is the Mirage 3 an energy fighter, and not a turn fighter? Because it seems to bleed energy real fast in a turn. -
Simhq review of WOI is up

Worry not. I was hesitant to buy it due to its 128MB video requirement, but my 64MB FX GO5200 runs it pretty well. Not full bore mind you but it runs very well at high/medium settings.
