    1. B29 - DING HOW, Diamond 16 of the 676th BS 444th BG piloted by Capt. Nicolas VanWingerden. The VanWingerden crew (Crew #12), flying aircraft 42-6225, ?Ding How? were, along with the rest of the 444th Bomb Group, one of the first B-29 crews to see action against the Japanese in the China/Burma/India theatre in 1944. By October of 1944, this crew had flown eight ?Hump? missions (over the Himalayas between India and China) and three bombing missions against enemy targets (Yawata, Japan, 15 June; Okayama, Formosa, 14 October; Omura, Japan, 25 October).     2. FW-190D-9 flown by Gerhard Michalski, the last Geschwader Kommodore of JG 4
      Neukirchen/Germany, April 1945.
       
       
      Gerhard Michalski, was one of the fighter-pilots who flew in the Battle of Britain, at that time as an ADC to the famous "Henri" von Maltzahn, leader of II./JG 53 "Pik As". Michalski flew together with von Maltzahn on the Eastern Front and in the air-battle of Malta where he shot down 26 British fighters. In June 1942 he was promoted as leader of II./JG 53. In 1944, Michalski became Geschwaderkommodore of JG 4 and participated, flying this "Dora 9", in the German retreat on the Eastern front until 1945. Oberstleutnant Gerhard Michalski survived the war with 73 victories, only to lose his life in a traffic accident in 1946.

    3. FW190D9 1945 Lt Theo Nibel 10/Jg54
       
      This was the first Dora to fall relatively intact into Allied hands-downed following Operation Bodenplatte in Jan 45. Nibel Survived this episode.

      A late war (Dec 44) Jg26 Dora newly in service as evinced by the factory marking "9" on the rudder.

    7. BF109 E4 of III/NJG 1 Serial: G9+JV. 1941. This is a first E4 ive every done so instead of using my own 109 F/G/K template & having to adapt it to a E4 i decided to use jesters Excellent E4/7 Template instead ( Glad theres a site for your templates now ),added my own weathering etc,etc. Theres a no markings version in the download, Bright finished.....Buglord.
