My new Campaign is available now: "You are Buck Danny, back from Korea. You are invited to be a part of the Fuerza Aerea del Managua restructuration. Managua is a small but rich country of Central America, and also a young and strong ally of the USA. Your action will be double. First, you will an observer sent by the American government to evaluate the material and training needs of the Managuaian Air Force. Then, you will become a flight instructor. You have returned to civilian life before being incorporated to the Managuaian Force with your former rank. Indeed, during this 1952 summer, USA have been at war in Korea for the last 2 years, and American opinion has become fed up with those murderer combats. For this purpose, your intervention must be the more discrete as possible. Of course, you won't be alone in Central America, and your faithful friends Captain Jerry "Tumb" Tumbler and he mighty Texan red haired Second Lieutenant Sonny Tuckson will come along. Some other pilots and technicians will of course be with you. Your evaluation mission seems to go easy till the sworn enemy of Managua, Costa Verde, makes his move. Only one philosophy must guide you : pilots are rare, and you must not hesitate to send them back to home base one you estimate the mission accomplished. Enjoy your flight!" Toungoo, Burma, August to November 1941 (AVG03A). 2. Kunming, China, December 1941 (AVG03B). 3. Rangoon, Burma January to February 1942 (AVG03C and ABG03Cbis). This Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 n° P-8103, took off for the first time in august 1941 at Toungoo airfield (Burma) and was written of at Rangoon (Burma) on 23 february 1942. It was flown by Dick ROSSI (6 victories) and also William BARTLING (5 victories). It has two little roundels (chinese and american) on each side of the cockpit. It seems that this plane has never received a shark mouth, but ROSSI said that it has one. So I have made two different version, with and without shark mouth. File Name: F4F-4 VF-6 File Submitter: Obelix File Submitted: 10 Sep 2005 File Updated: 12 Mar 2006 File Category: F4F / F4U / F6F Skins F4F-4 BuNo 5075 "black 20", flown by Machinist Ronald Eugene RUNYON, VF-6, USS Enterprise, August 24th, 1942. This pack is coming with 3 blank skins. RUNYON is one of the US Navy's top-scoring enlisted Naval Aviation Pilot, and one of the 16 "Fighting Chief" of VF-2. Don RUNYON scored eight victories, and added 3 more after his promotion to Lt(Jg) grade. You can see the "Tombstone" on right side of the fin, scored with 41 victories, gained by VF-6 between 7th and 24th August 1942 (Guadalcanal action). The white band should be painted only on the left side, but a picture shown it was also painted on the right side.
