CoolHand100 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I recently bought Falcon 4.0 on ebay. When I got the game, I realised that what I really wanted was the Allied Force. I have now bought Allied Force. Here in Norway, this game comes with the manual on the disc. I like to have the manual beside me when I play (for reference, I'm still a newbie). Is it possible to use the Falcon 4.0 manual and fly the plane in Allied Force (flight routines, bombing techniques, landing, etc)? If not, I'll have to print the 700 page pdf file... Quote
JediMaster Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 The manual will mostly apply. There are a few changes in procedures and keys here and there, so you do need the new one from time to time. However, things like the training missions are brought over from the old F4 and F4:AF's manual doesn't talk about them! So people who do not have the old F4 manual are at a disadvantage there. I'm one of the people who bought the binder edition of F4 back in 12/98 and I never got rid of it. :) The Jedi Master Quote

It cost a bit, but it is essential for me as a beginner to have it next to me. In particular, it is very (VERY) useful to see what knob and button does what. I am now struggling with the navigation system (tacan, CSI, ADI, etc), but it is starting to sink in. Slowly. :) Quote
