Cockpit Problem

In some of the modern aircraft (F/A-18A, F-15A,C,E, F-16C Blk 30,52,53 Not A-10A) the cockpits have white lines flashing across, and sometimes when I switch to cockpit, the screen goes black for a while. Also, the boxes at the bottom (displaying speed, altitude, degree...) and the things on the top (says how far to waypoint, Autopilot, Gear...) flash/ dissapear. Does someone know why?

 

Note: I saw a thread on this a while back, I searched for it, and it seemed to have dissapeared. If it's still in existence, please give me the link.
