Map Controls

Just started playing WOV and need some help regarding key controls for pre flight map and in flight map

zoom seems very limited as well as moving the map (I see the auto centering button). Manual has very little info on it. Can anyone assist me ? Thanks!

Yes, map zooming is very slow and limited. You can change that by extracting the Flightengine.ini file from the Flight folder's encrypted FlightData cat file. Get the Cat Extractor utility/tool from this website's downloads if you have not already.

 

Here are my settings that effect the map. Note the much greater range in sizes, and the greater scale rate (zoom speed)...

My question is related to Maps.

It would be very nice if there were city and town names on the map as you fly over them on the map.

You know...you have an idea of where you are.

Is there a way to get this?
