savagkc Posted March 2, 2003 Posted March 2, 2003 Not a bad plane considering all the work involved in putting it into a jet sim. I get no engine or prop sounds at all tho. What am i doing wrong? I put the soundlist.ini into the flight folder and the proploop sounds into the sound folder (like the readme says to..... thanks for the prop job, good handling, savagkc Quote
+Dagger Posted March 2, 2003 Posted March 2, 2003 were you having any trouble with the A-1? is this the only prop plane you're having trouble with? when you installed the sound ini. in your flight folder did it over write your old one,and did you back it up? Quote
savagkc Posted March 2, 2003 Author Posted March 2, 2003 The other planes work fine, no problems. I did not have a soundlist.ini file in the flight folder before. thanks, savagkc Quote
savagkc Posted March 2, 2003 Author Posted March 2, 2003 sorry, i messed up in previous msg. I also do not have any prop/engine sounds in the skyraider - at all. Volume turned all the way up (wife b*tching) still nothing. Have tried all channel settings and moving the soundlist.ini to different folders (sounds, objects, flight, airplanes) - no go. I have a soundblaster x-gamer 5.1 card and it works fine in all other games and music. looking for any suggestions, savagkc Quote
+ext Posted March 2, 2003 Posted March 2, 2003 I had the same problem. My solution worked for me If you want to try it. Go to your Flight folder and pull up the Soundlist. My last two sections look like this. [A1Engine] Priority=LOW 3DSound=TRUE DopplerEffect=TRUE Looped=TRUE NumBuffers=2 FrequencyControl=TRUE MaxDist=250.000000 MinDist=50.000000 InsideConeAngle=360 OutsideConeAngle=360 ConeOutsideVolume=0 [PropLoop2] Priority=HIGH 3DSound=TRUE DopplerEffect=TRUE Looped=TRUE NumBuffers=2 FrequencyControl=TRUE MaxDist=1000.000000 MinDist=50.000000 InsideConeAngle=360 OutsideConeAngle=360 ConeOutsideVolume Next copy and paste the PropLoop2 and if you do not have it already the A1Engine sound files into your Sound folder. Now go back to the Soundlist and make sure that the new sound files are found. SoundFile027=A1Engine SoundFile028=PropLoop2 I use the original sound list and add to it everytime myself, that way I know if I screw up where to look. The secert is to make sure each sound file has a number. I used the original sound file from the SkyRaider and not PropLoop1. My solution works with both prop planes with no problems. Quote
