firehawkordy Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 (edited) IYAOYAS, As most of you all know I lost my father earlier this year. As his last wish was to be buried at sea, he asked the machine shop to make his urn. This is the question, the urn is an stainless steel replica of a 16" rifle round. As such it looks like it like a live piece of ordnance. I am haveing it etched " INERT, NO EXPLOSIVES INSTALLED" along with his name and service bio , should I have the blue bands painted on to be sure? I am serious about this as I have to put my father in it and dont want him disturbed at a later date. I also trust and respect the Ordies of all branches opinions in a matter such as this. Thanks in advance guys IYAOYAS Edited August 25, 2006 by firehawkordy Quote
+Dagger Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 i would be sure to mark it as non explosive..and this may sound over the top but you might even check with the Coast Guard or Navy about this matter.where are you planning this?theres bound to be an agency that can tell you how to be sure that nobody will disturb him in the future.
