Turning off FFB

I have a MS FFB2 and I'm wanting to turn off the FFB. After adding the patch to WoE, I've noticed that I have to crawl under my desk and disco the FFB2 for a minute or so before FFB will return after exiting WoE. I hate having to do this simple procedure to fly IL2. If I don't, the stick has no tension and just flops around making for some very sloppy flying.

 

Any help?

extract the flightengine.ini from the flightdata.cat in the Flight folder.

 

then erase the following lines in the ini :

 

[FlightEngine]

...

ForceFeedback=FlightEffect.ifr <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

ForceFeedbackControl=PITCH_CONTROL <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Good grief. I use the same stick and I have not had this happen since the brand new WOE patch---IL-2 COMPLETE has been fine. Maybe you need to recalibrate?
