+Veltro2k Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 When I created the model I used a light blue material with Opacity set a 50 so its transparent..But when I export to WOE the glass is not there,,,Again I am new at this,,,what is the procedure to export the glass ??? Quote
Guest capun Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Use a Material with a clearglass tga map, set the material between 33 to 50 opacity. Try it with the ClrGlass.tga in one of our models. The TGA file should be in your plane folder Quote

Guest capun Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 - Get one of the canopy TGA's, SFP1 has a couple in the objects.cat file that you need to extract, or use the ClrGlass.tga in our models - Apply a Diffusion Map to one of the materials in 3DS Max, use the canopy TGA and set the opacity to 30 to 50, your choice - Apply Material to the canopy glass mesh. In 3DS Max you should now see a transparent mesh - Be sure that the canopy glass is in the plane root folder. If it is a stock game tga, you don't need it since the game will search for it in the objects.cat file also Quote

Guest capun Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 If it does not show up in the game but it does in Max, most likely you do not have the file in the plane root folder, or you are using a wrong TGA file (Alpha channel is required) Are you using the stock tga files? Quote

Guest capun Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 If it is stock, it should be working since the file search path goes to the objects.cat file eventually. You have my e-mail, send me the package so I can see the problem, also send the Max file to check it out Quote
