Patches made it worse

I was playing wings over europe and i was enjoying it. then i found some patches. i downloaded and installed these patches. now the game sucks. missles won't lock on. the actual flying of the plane blows. from a view stand point it actually looks like the planes just pivots on a solid axis. whereas before my view was from behind the plane. i don't really know much about the game so i am not sure where to look for answers, whether it be on this forum or within the game it self. I have uninstalled the game and installed only one of the patches at a time and also tried it without them but it still sucks. i am not familiar with any of the abbreviations you guys use so if you have any suggestions, please pretend you are talking to an stupid baby, i will not take offence. thanks in advance.

If you have been flying on Easy mode, check so that the game has not changed theese settings.

it works now thanks. it took me about a week to figure out how to get the game the way i wanted it, so when i lost all of that. it freaked me out. but its all good now thank you
