File Name: Taiwan Straits 1958 ALL-INCLUSIVE Campaign Mod

File Submitter: Edward

File Submitted: 28 Jul 2005

File Category: SF Missions/Campaigns

This is a complete Taiwan Straits 1958 Mod, including all aircraft and objects needed.

No more hunting up all the necessary aircraft. THEY ARE ALL INCLUDED.

ALL YOU MUST DO to utilize the campaign and all the aircraft is

1. Make a fresh install of SFP:1 and Patch it to SP3.2, then delete EVERY SINGLE stock aircraft.

2. Put the latest version of the Weapons Pack in the Objects folder,

3. Put the Korea terrain file in the Terrain folder, and

4. Unzip the provided files to a Temporary Directory. Copy the Campaigns, Flight, Menu, Objects, and Sounds folders to the Strike Fighters Directory, letting them overwrite the existing files.

Then you can go fly, and smash the Communists.

This campaign is semi-historical, and simulates a what-if scenario from 1958, at the height of the Cold War. Red China starts shelling two islands in the Taiwan Straits, Quemoy and Matsu, and prepares an invasion force to capture Taiwan, the last stronghold of Chiang Kai-Shek and the Republic of China Nationalists.

Have fun.

Thanks! I really like the "all inclusive" mods. I don't always have the time to hunt down every plane & skin & whatnot (not to mention I'D RATHER BE FLYING). We need more of these, at least as an option for those of us that don't have all of the add-ons at hand. I have a few DVDs with a lot of them, but not all. Thanks again, Edward!

Avsim should have!! :clapping:

Hi. I'm new to the Third Wire world and having a blast. If the above mod is not at AVSIM where would you suggest I look next. Searches are coming up with nothing. Thanks, Bob
