Anybody have a tried and true method for getting these to work?

 

WinXP

AMD Athlon 1.4 ghz

Radeon 8500 64 mgb

Cat. 3.2 Drivers

768 PC-2100 DDR-RAM

SB X-Gamer 5.1 Live!

Saitek X-45

I run both on XP with no problems here. Try this:

 

1. Install EEAH and run once. (if you have it that is...)

2. Install EECH.

3. Download EECH 1.4.7X patch and replace the existing executable.

4. Fly!

 

If that doesn't work, post your problems here and we can try to get it worked out. :D

Alright, when I install and run EEAH it won't get past the opening loading screen. The counter reaches 100% and then I get a CTD. Same thing with EECH. I haven't installed any patches other than the EEAH patch supplied on the EECH CD.

 

BTW, I have the very latest ATI drivers installed, and DX9a. I do not have FSAA enabled at all.

I have had the same problem as you. This is caused by ATI drivers that are not compatible with the base resolutions stored in EEAH & EECH .cfg files. If you delete the game.cfg in the EEAH & EECH directories they should initialise the graphics just fine.
