KMD landing and take off

Is it possible to create a mission using KMD where you takeoff from a carrier and land on a runway, and if so, how do you do it? Thanks

Are you asking because you don't know how to do it?

 

Or because KMD doesn't seem to be able to do it?

 

In the Mission Properties screen there is a button (at bottom) called Waypoint Parameters. Press it. In that page is a dropdown list titled Command - this selects what type the waypoint is.

 

There is a tutorial for kmd at Avsim and maybe even here at Combatace.

 

 

I write this not knowing if what you ask can be done, just helping if you are unsure where to find things.

A little of both. I am trying to do a Doolittle-esque raid in SFP1 with B-25; in which I take off from a carrier (CV-6), strike target (a ware house in suran), then land at the nearest friendly airfield. The final waypoint has been selected to be Touchdown/Land in the waypoint parameters comand. When I try to fly this mission in the game, everything works perfectly, except that the last three waypoints (Aproach, Line-up, and touch-down) moved automatically back to were I took off from (the carrier).

 

Can I only land from the same airfield/carrier that I took off from?

In fact if you start you plane from a carrier, you cannot choose to land on airfield in your flight path.

It's a game limitation ;)

Arf, do you realise that you can end (ie Esc) a mission anytime after "Your mission is completed", even before landing and mission will still be success.

 

So you can depart from carrier, do mission, then land anywhere and end mission.

You can do it the other way round though. I posted a set of F-14 missions, one of which involved you taking off from Sicily and ending the mission by joining your carrier. That was in SFG. Seemed to work.
