SFP1 favorite campaigns, and tips, anyone?

Ok,

 

I have had this game for some time now. The thing is, I would really appreciate some tips from those who "fly" it a lot. By this, I mean:

 

1. What are your favorite campaigns?

2. When you fly, do you start from the runway, or in the air?

3. What is your aircraft of choice, and why?

4. Do you manually fly the sortie, or do you use AutoPilot?

 

Any tips you can post concerning how you play the game would be helpful. I find it somewhat boring, not really knowing what I am doing with this sim. Oh, I know how to take off, land, etc..., but what I would like to know more about, is how to really take advantage of the game. Details, like how to navigate and what weapons to use on targets, etc...
