I have recently purchased 3DS Max version 8, and downloaded the correct export utility for my version. When exporting planes to Wings Over Vietnam there is a discrepancy. On the external views of my plane, that I created , the view will only zoom in to the length of half the width of the runway(probably 50 metres), the same problem occurs on the SU-17, created by ARMOURDAVE. Why is this ? Do I have to put a camera tool on my mesh model in 3ds Max before I export ? or is 3ds max version 8 really different from 3ds max version3 , which the default planes were originally created on?

what data.ini do you use for your plane ?

ArmorDave's Su-17 data.ini is based on a very old SFP1 Su-7 data.ini, which had a typo that caused the "can't zoom in" problem.

this is edmundo. Thanks to crusader for replying to my questions. But I do not understand how the aircraft data.ini file can affect the zoom in problem. I used the Mig 17F data.ini file that came with the default mig-17F of WoV.

this is edmundo again.I have solved the zoom in problem. Some of my components had bad collision points. They had the same Y-axis values. Here is another question. Do I have to specify the ground pitch angle of the plane I have created ? Or does the game engine work it out automatically?
