tank03 1 Posted January 14, 2007 I've got a buddy in London who is a huge Liverpool fan. (He knew I got into the last World Cup rooting for England, even sent me a Rooney jersey) I've made several attempts to follow the sport in England so we'd have something to talk about. There seems to be several leagues, each with a bit of crossover. I haven't yet been able to understand it. Can anyone point me to a decent website that could explain the league system in England. It's exactly what I was looking for. I had been trying to sort out the difference between the Premier league, Champions Legue, Carling Cup, FA Cup, etc. I wasn't sure how each was connected to the other (if at all), but I'm starting to get an understanding. I was never much of a soccer fan until a friend got me into watching the World Cup. I was amazed, absolutly, positively AMAZED at the skill and athleticism displayed by the players. I've even gone so far as to attend a couple of US Major League games here at home. I could see myself becoming addicted.

As far as the MLS I'm a DC United fan..and am thrilled to see Beckham come to LA to play,it should bring alot of new fans to the game. If you can get Fox Soccer Channel on cable or dish and to hear the games Sirius has good coverage of matches and lots of talk shows.
