Wodin Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Seem to have a fair few planes being flow'en by the AI (really noticed it with the SE5) pull to the right and then drop from the sky. It also happens on occasion when Im flying the Se5. When turning to the right sometimes the plane will not pull level and crash's to the ground. Anyone else noticed this? Quote
Dagger Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 not since the patch...have you got any mods in game? Quote
Wodin Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 Yes I have. All the third party planes so far released. The terrain pack and some sound mods. Quote
+TexMurphy Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 you need to get all the updated plane mods... the flight model changed with the patch... pre patch planes dont fly well at all... Stock planes you need to remove any extracted/moded .ini files... re-extract them and mod them again... alternativly download fresh mods... Tex Quote
jmoscola2012 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I believe they modeled Engine Torque into the game. Next time you find yourself in the woods, cut the engine and add max rudder and airleron in the proper direction. Don't forget, Torque was even worse with some planes, because the entire engines use to spin, like the Camel for instance. Plus some planes have only one set of airlerons on the lower wing, which dosen't help for control too mutch. But take the camel for instance. It's very agile compared to other planes due to having airlerons on the lower and upper wing. Best regards, Joe Quote
+pcpilot Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Ive had the stock Alb DV fly in formation of two aircraft, turn hard to attack me and both planes drop out of the sky. Ive noticed several planes, some stock, some not, that if you turn hrd, you side slip far more than you should, losing altitude at an unusually high rate. Some of the planes when they hit the ground dont explode right away, but instead start smoking, then actually get back in the air again! Wierd SFP1 FM... Quote
