X-52 issue

I just got a Saitek x-52 and it's working OK but I have a couple questions for those who may have used them.

 

1. I can't seem to get the mouse buttons on the throttle to work in WOV. I wanted to use them for the camera views but they don't seem to work in the game. I haven't used a profile, just used the WOV options screen to set things up. Is there a problem, or am I doing something wrong?

 

2. The stick seems to be a bit more loose than I expected. Is this normal, or should I consider mine flawed?

yeah the mouse buttons are pretty useless except as a mouse.tried to profile them once didnt get to far.dont use them now at all!the stick is fly by wire so it is looser than say an x-45,but soon you will get used to it and love the feel. i fly with two fingers instead of ham fisting it
