Big Beer ODBs Hydrofoil after some INI tweaking magic. The ini file is attached. Just drop it into your Objects directory then prepared to get shot at! Going to contact Big Beer and see about getting the gun properly animated (I'll do it for you if ya like Big Beer).

 

Just flew around the ships and 3 seconds later I was a flaming ball O' fire. hehe

Max file is enroute, hopefully the new DL will be out tonite with shooting/tracking guns.

Fixed and sent back to you. Lots of fun! I'd say release it as is (almost perfect) but then I'll adjust the Yaw limits so it won't shoot itself). But it's still way cool. The Anti-ship missions are a blast. I'm finally getting SAM launches every flight too! Woohoo!

In case you're wondering how I got those pics. I hit Control - F12 to enter the roaming (slew) view mode. Then position the view to get the best shots. When the gun is firing the ship is still thank goodness. :)

Oh just so you know what those U shape things are on the Superstructure skin they are fire hose stations with hoses draped over the saddles.

only thing i noticed was the slow response on an average it took 3-4 passes till they acted,and fired. any wat to change this to maybe two passes?

 

but again great to have a ship fight back (no more sitting ducks lol) :D

ok think I got it now added ammo to 1500 from 500

and gave it gun stabalazation,and changed burst from 10 to 20.......enjoy

Ranger - Your one of the best in making missions. Is there any chance of you making one to attack the Hyrdrofoils? Nice work Beer with tweaking from I believe Hawker And Ranger. Way to go guys!!!!!!

above is your requested mission. working on another the will involve a sqd of Migs that will try to intercept you as you attack. Hope to have something ready by this weekend .(and all Iam doing is adding to Beers fine work----its easy when ya got good material)

make a folder (of you dont have one ) called Missions

 

make a "clean" MSN file,and insert the text into it. place the msn with added text into the missions folder place all into the SFP1 folder.

(if using WIN XP put it in the M section. and have fun.

I have noticed an odd behaviour with the ini file.

When I destroy the PHM a cargo ship appears.

 

I renamed Beer's cargo ship into PHM and created its own ground object, I then used Ranger's missions and changed the cargo ship to PHM to match the ground object. The problem goes away if I remove the damaged and destroyed model name (cargoship).

 

Has anyone noticed the problem?

Yes Capun I have noticed the same thing.

 

I guess I need to find out how to make the damage.LODs

Any Ideas? I can likely animate it for the damage, but I dont know what frames the damage LOD uses (and TK has said that the damage LOD does not us animation so I am somewhat stumped).

 

I noticed the color of the water in some of the screenshots, if you take the terrain to medium settings it will darken the water, and the hydrofoil should be visibile at its correct height in the water.
