Malaysia takes delivery of its first two SU-30MKMs

Malaysia takes delivery of first two of its 18 Su-30MKMs(M52-01 and M52-02).

Another two Su-30MKMs would be delivered in June using the Antonov AN-124 transport aircraft to the RMAF base in Gong Kedak, Kelantan.

Malaysian SU-30MKMs are smilar to Indian Su-30MKIs exceprt that the Israel equipment on the MKI has been repleaced by Russian,Indian and French systems

HAL, which manfactures SU-30MKIs, will most proabably be providing spares support. Malaysian Air Force officers were in India some months back to see Su-30MKI operations. Imprssed by the performance of Su-30MKI,the Malaysians ordered their Su-30s in a config similar to Indian MKIs(TVC, Canards etc).

Malaysian and Indian Su-30s are the most advanced Su-30 variants in the world today.
