Hey I am trying to fly a fokker EIII in a campaign, and the game always seems to change my Jasta to one with a Fokker DIII. Is it impossible to fly monoplanes in the "campaign" engine of first eagles?

Just wondering, thanks for your help!

Its certainly possible. Firecage has a campaign out, Planefest, that does just that. Without looking at your files, it sounds to me like you might have a conflict with Dates not matching up....just a guess?

Thanks for replying. I previously checked my data file for the fokker EIII, and the dates of service range were as follows (changed by me a few weeks ago I think)

ServiceStartDate=06/1916

ServiceEndDate=11/1918

I'm wondering if there is another file that must be altered.

If I find out the problem, I will post the solution.

I may give firecages campaign a whirl.

Well, it looks like some sort of weird bug, I am using my "german defense" campaign, and when I start a new campaign and pick the jasta, the game actually uses a jasta of lower number. For instance, when selecting "jasta 18" it uses jasta 12, etc.

Bottom line is I just kept increasing the number until it finally assigned me one with the Fokker EIII, which is what I wanted to fly.

Any ideas what is going on? I believe I did add some jastas to the list in the campaign file. Perhaps there is an upper limit? It appeared that there were way more allied squadrons than german ones, so I wanted to compensate.

Thanks!
