Thrustmaster TacBoard Question

I got a Thurstmaster TacBoard, and I cannot make it accept a key binding like for example ALT + H or F + P. these are just examples of what I am trying to do. Will this board accept bindings like that, or am I just out of luck. I had read a posting somewhere and I dont recall where, that someone had the same problem but someone helped out with the right commands to put inot the Thrustmapper utility. I cannot understand the readme that is part of the install, at least it is not making sense to me. So if someone has or has had this board, and figured out what to do to make it so, I would be indebted to you.
