How to add the new shadows to the addon planes:

 

It's very easy and the cockpits look incredible, best thing ever, you just need to change a few lines in the ini file from the desired plane.

 

Shadow files are not needed.

 

For example, if you want shadows for the Nieuport 17:

Edit with notepad or other txt editor the file Nieuport17.ini and change the shadow section for the one below:

 

[shadow]

CastShadow=TRUE

ShadowCastDist=10000

MaxVisibleDistance=150

 

That's all !!!

 

Too bad the pixel shaders need a fast computer to have a decent frame rate.

Yeah, turning off Shadows was the first thing I had to do to get anything better than a slideshow on my rickety old machine. Still, IMHO, everything looks better than the original FE.
