navychief 1 Posted August 16, 2003 I finally found an aircraft I have been looking for; a US Navy Aries EP-3! It was made for FS2002, and I figured it would work ok in FS9. Wrong. Oh, it installed ok, but the landing gear are invisible. Great looking aircraft, otherwise, and the panel is good too. Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for this? Should be. Everything else looks fine. Main reason I wanted this particular aircraft, is because VQ-1 is the squadron I retired from, and this aircraft is modeled after the one that the Chinese brought down a couple years ago. I didn't actually fly in that aircraft, but my division took care of maintaining it! Navychief Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dagger 21 Posted August 16, 2003 Chief when you select this aircraft does it tell you some of parts don't work properly with FS2004(or something like that) and then ask if you want to disable that part of the aircraft?if so just tell it yes load the files.if you're wondering look at teh thread where MJ got the sim and look at the F-4 in it...FS2002 aircraft.Oh yeah...look for G-Max aircraft..for the most part they work in both.one of my favorite aircraft in the game so far is the dash-8 and it was a 2002 aircraft(and a true work of art) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
navychief 1 Posted August 16, 2003 Hey Dagger Yes, when I initially installed the aircraft, it gave me the option of not installing the features that weren't supported. Well, I chose to install them anyway. I tried uninstalling the aircraft, and then reinstalling, but it is not giving me that option on the second time around. Any ideas? +ext 52 Posted October 1, 2003 navychief- if you solved your problem then ignore this reply. I had the same problem but when I uninstalled I noticed something. There is an option when you uninstall asking you if you want to keep game files and settings. If you check no then re- install FS9 it will work again. The next time you go to install a FS2002 aircraft it will give the option of yes or no this time. Hope this helps. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
