A very acute (and annoying) FPS drop on WoI by slight view angle change has been the cause to discover that in general the TW sims in my system(*) impove their framerates when I refly the mission. Verified only for auto single missions so far. Here's the initial post in TW forum

I was suggested that there has been info about this somwhere in CA but haven't found it yet after persistent search.

Any clues maybe?

Man that is interesting stuff over there. Its not obviously sun light. I had a problem with bizzarro skin texture settings that froze the sim when a highly molded sun came into view. Fixed that in a pinch when I finally found the cause.

I really don't know!!!!

I see the drops when I fly over cities and fields with all on high, like woe the plane is fliable just a little scatter,or when I fly over airfields

If I fly over mountains or desert I can put all to unlimited with no problems!

I hope someone fix it cause this new game is awesoooome!

1. Have you tried the refly thing with everything maxed out (shadows on) ? (Load mission, once loaded, exit and refly)

2. Whats the situation with everything maxed out but shadows off?
