Problems Starting WoV after Patching

Hi all.

 

I am new to this site and WoV simming.

 

After great game play over the past few weeks and loading a few aircraft and mission found here at CombatACE, I decided to update to the latest patch. Not know what patch level I was at, I just applied each of the patches available. When I tried to test the game (after patching), all that appeared was a dark screen, with the patch V8 showing in the lower right corner of my screem, along with game music in the background.

 

Don't know if anyone else has experiened this problem. But I'd certainly appreciate any help in resolving the problem.
