Can you add a nation to Nations.ini file?

I was looking through the nations.ini file and noticed the Somali Air Corps but no Ukrainian Air Force!

 

Can you add it and how is it done?

You should be able to. I added "Scorpions" to the list with no ill effects. Now when I want to fly my squad colors as a nation, I can. However, I'm not sure how this will effect multiplay because I only did this in my offline single player version of the game and not in my multiplay version.

Oops, sorry, didn't read your other question on how to do it.

 

First, locate the MissionData.cat file (located in the Flight folder) and extract the Nations.ini file from it.

If you don't have the Cat File Extraction program, get it here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=343

Next, open the Nations.ini file and add the following to the end of the list, making sure the [Nation0xx] is the last number in sequence in the Nations.ini file. Leave the edited Nations.ini file in your Flight folder. The game will run using this new ini file, but if you decide to $hitcan it, just delete the file and the game will go back to using the Nations.ini file located within the MissionData.cat file. It should look something like this;

Alternately, you could just download the expanded Nations.ini that already includes Ukraine and lots more besides.

Yes, it will work in WOE. Yes, the UAF can be made a Friendly. Everything in that ini file can be changed to suit your needs.

The only potential problem with making Ukraine friendly is the availability of Soviet weapons for your Ukrainian planes. You may need to create some nation-specific weapons to stop you MiGs and Sukhois being assigned either western weapons or none at all.

I've done this before and it's time-consuming, but I can get it to work.
