MrHowdy 0 Posted August 14, 2008 I'm new to FE and I am running the game with the Apr 08 patch. I've downloaded several planes which are great. The problem I'm having is the Pfalz e series and the Fokker E series by Laton have no engine sound when I play the game. I tried these before the patch and there was no sound then. So is it my system or is this an already identified problem? Thanks for any guidance.
+peter01 2 Posted August 14, 2008 (edited) Welcome to FE MrHowdy. The Pfalz and Fokker planes have rotary engines, but rotary engine sounds do not come with the stock game. You can do one of two things. Download an A-Team rotary plane package, they have done a rotary engine sound, called "RotaryEngine", and place that in your Sounds folder. For example the Airco Dh2 package has a rotary sound included, its available here at CombatAce. Alternately, copy your normal engine sound in your Sounds folder, "PropLoop", and rename copied file to "RotaryEngine". I downloaded the dh2 and it works like a charm!
