Jasta 18 Dr.1's anyone?

I've made a skin for Jasta 18 Dr.1's. I placed it where it now is noticed as a stock Jasta. So I can have a flight of 16 with individual markings in missions and campaigns. I also made a skin of August Raben's Dr.1 to go along with the other Jasta 18 Dr.1's. I know there is already a lot of Dr.1s in the game but I'll post them if anybody wants. And I'll include instructions on how to add the Jasta to the game.

I have to retract my statement about using them in campaign mode . Doesn't seem to work. In the loadout menu the Jasta 18 Dr.1's are there, but when selected they turn into the Jasta 18 AlbatrosDVs.

Kind of complicated. I'm working on it. Actually I dont know if its possible to edit campaigns

But they work in single missions. So I'll post them for that.

By the way has anybody here ever seen a photo of a Jasta 18 Dr.1? Besides Rabens!?

Hi Quack.

 

The reason you haven't seen any other Jasta 18 Triplane photo's is because there weren't any.

 

As Staffelfuhrer, August Raben managed to procure a Dr.I for his own use, but the rest of the J18 pilots continued using Albatros D.V's and Pfalz D.III's, until they were re-equipped with the Fokker D.VII in June '18.

Well you can use the Raben skin in mission building along with some Albatros DV's I guess

Too bad they would have looked cool w their red and white.

If it's any consolation, your latest batch of Triplane skins are most excellent. Especially Plange's J2 multi-cross skin.

 

On a similar theme, I know you've already done the later version, but are you familiar with Paul Baumer's early multi-cross Tripe? The one with crosses on the lower wings and tailplane? That'd make a nice addition to your Dr.I back catalogue.

Hey bucky, consider it done. I've seen a photo of Baumers early Tripe. I just thought having two tripes of the same pilot would be a little much. Since most of them had to keep gettin new ones .

But any how, I'll get on it. And I have a few more tripes to work on, some J6, J12, and J11.

I need to do some research on some of these planes. Than I'll do some Alb DV's and Fok DVII's.

I would also like to do some Pfalz's and Schurckerts. A lot of work to do :moil:
