+quack74 329 Posted November 23, 2008 I would like to do a lot more color schemes of different aircraft. Even more Dr.1's. Anybody ever read or use the Osprey or Windsock books for WWI aircraft. It's getting a little hard to find photos. I've been doing lots of searching on the web. But it's hard to find a pic with the correct color info, # and pilot. +ST0RM 145 Posted November 23, 2008 The Osprey series of books are a pretty good resource for color profiles of all aircraft. They usually are about 95% correct and for about $18 each, a good buy. -Storm

Southside Bucky 1 Posted November 23, 2008 (edited) Yeah, you can buy any of the osprey's with total confidence. There are some real bargains on Amazon...Check out the used price on this one for example, which is a must have: http://www.amazon.com/Richthofens-Circus-J...954&sr=1-10 Also, knowing how much you like the Triplane...Try to get this before it disappears. It's chock full of photo's, and has some nice colour profiles and plan views. http://www.amazon.com/Fokker-Dr-I-Triplane...4341&sr=1-2 Bucky Edited November 23, 2008 by Southside Bucky

Southside Bucky 1 Posted November 23, 2008 Yeah, man...I was gonna say, watch out, 'cause you're on the slippery slope towards total, utter addiction...Like I've been for the last 20 years or so. There's not a month goes by without me buying at least one book on the subject...Usually more!
