Guest pfunkmusik Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I'm looking at putting rivers and waterways into my terrain, but how can you level out an area, like, say, a canal? Is that what the 'Adjust Sea Level' menu option does? pfunk
+Brain32 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 When I did my rivers(which I apsolutely, positively hate to do) I draw them by hand. You can export the height map as *.BMP and then edit it in image editor
krfrge Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Pfunk, While I am no expert, I will tell you that Brain32 is on the mark. What you can do is run the TE program. It will create a height map. Export that map and call it XXX_Height.bmp. (The XXX being the terrain name). Then use PS or GIMP to paint the river in. If the terrain is really hilly / mountainous that will require some additonal painting of terrain along the river to lessen the sudden drop in elevation.
