Whiteout!

OK im in trouble here. When ever i load up the Eurofighter its skin is all white and my game turns into a slide show. I have double checked everything several times, i searched through endless threads and i have looked everywhere in the knowledge base but i cant seem to find a solution. This also happens in my F-35 cockpit.

the skin turning white is caused by a problem between the skin and the model. Might be a problem in the ini file or something. is that an add-on skin? However, your screen shot looks OK. No problem there so not sure what you mean.

 

what do you mean by "turning into a slideshow"?

 

is this only with that plane?

2 possibilities for the withe skin....

 

1# you saved at 36bit BMP in PS when it asked in wich format to save. you should save it as 24bit.....

 

2# you screwd something in decals.ini

 

for the slide show....it can be normal in some systems, specially the EF that is a high everything model.

The FPS drops to one digit numbers

is this only with that plane?

Only the Typhoon and the F-35 cockpit

have u updated your video card driver?

try turning all your graphis options to low and see if it still happens. And as silverbolt suggests, check your video card driver.

I managed to solve the problem. I have resized the skins by 50% since it turned out that my modest computer didnt like the super hi rez skins. Perhaps an upgrade is in order. If only i could afford it.
