CFS3 Flight Control

Recommended Posts

Guest British_eh

My CH Pedals and X52 FCS are fighting each other. I have had numerous aircraft crashes because of this. When I start the game I always have to Pause, go to Control, and then turf the CH Pedal setting for my X52 setting. Is there a way around this? I see Devices in the CFS3 program file, but am unsure how to go about editing it. Any ideas.

Thanks,

PS Can't even fly more than a mile before a "dirt nap" because of flight control being unstable :shout:

I, too, fly with two controllers, which is what, in effect, you are doing.

When you are flying , go into Controls and make sure that the X52 is running your x and y axis settings, but that your rudder axis setting is deleted (using " delete joystick assignment " )

Now select the ch pedals controller and in that one ensure that the x and y axes are deleted, but that the rudder axis is assigned.

Then save that configuration and the name you type in , on saving it , MUST BE "Mine" Because that is the only configuration that OFF uses.- unlike CFS3 which lets you use different ones.

Thanks guys. I have done most of that, and I still had problems, but perhaps because I wasn't flying with "mine".

Does anyone know how to delete the other configurations, as I have about 6 listed?

When you start the game do you have to go to Drop Down menu and select Control and then click on the configuration you want?

Just for interest, could someone with CH pedal, ( you all use a Joystick I assume), email me a copy/print screen of the settings as you see them in the OFF programs XML file called " Devices" Would be keen to see how it is set up. My CH pedals are listed there as the Joystick too.

When you start the game I think it automatically loads the last configuration that was used, so you may have to manually select "Mine" if it was not being used when you last played.

You may have to manually delete the configuration files you don't want. They can be found in the C:\Documents and Settings\...\Application Data\Microsoft\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder. Delete all files with a .xca extension (except Mine.xca and CFS3.xca).

Yes, thanks so much for that. I was able to toss the other settings, and now hope that when I go to P3, that it will automatically load the Mine setting, and not have to go to Options, Control , and edit it there.

Good show olde chap! :notworthy:
