New Guy needing some help

So i just got Wo and I like the game and that fact that it is so easy to mod, but im not quite sure where to start as far as what files I should add to the game to make it more enjoyable. What patch should I put on? I noticed how meny planes and skins are available to down load but How am I to tell if they are even for WoE sense alot of them dont even say what game they are compatable with. Lastly is there a mod that turns WoE into a ww2 game or is that a new game all together? All ideas welcome thanks

You can patch WoE to Oct2008 and download the desert storm mod, it´s awesome!

It changes the game so much it could be called Wings over Iraq.

Check the read me on all the mods and usually the mod will say what game it is for and when installing the older mods do one at a time and after each mod check to see if it works BEFORE you add another
