Fatal Error, Error in reading INI file

Recommended Posts

Ok, something strange just happened to my OFF. I went to play, put the CFS3 CD in the drive, and then clicked on my OFF icon on my desktop. Boom! I get an error message telling me that there was an error in reading the INI file, and that I should uninstall and reinstall OFF BHaH. What's up with that?

Granted, when I got the game, I had issues, but Povloski walked me through them, and I was up and running. The game has crashed on me lately the last couple of times I tried to play it, but I figured it was some type of problem having to do with my settings or some such.

Any ideas anybody, short of uninstall/reinstall?????

TIA for your help and advice.

What os do you have? I am on xp, and there is no ini file in my obd directory, nor is there one in the cfs3wwi folder in my documents.

considering there are alot of zip files in off,,,i suppose it could be getting it from one of those

what is the full name of the ini file?

Sitting Duck, I'm running XP. I did download the latest patch, oh, I guess it was yesterday, and I have not played it since then. Could that be the culprit?

cant say for sure, but i would think if the patch was the problem, there would be a ton of other posts.

assuming that you meant the 1.30b, and not even sure you can apply the 1.30b over anthing other than a 1.30 version, but if you can, is there any chance you did not have 1.30 when you applied 1.30b?

Well, to the best of my knowledge I downloaded and installed 1.30 first, but after the week that I've had, hey, anything is possible. That is probably it, operator headspace and timing on my part. :this:
