Do you dream of having Sundowner's F-4 skin packs for SF2/V? And the no money blues keeps you from getting SF2/V? Well step right up and you too can convert to 1st generation!

If your not one for to do a lot of editing? This not for you. If you don't mind,read on.

As long as stock templates of the aircraft is the same and as many in numbers of templates is visible. Take as example the F-4C,D,E all have F-4?_1.BMP,F-4?_2.BMP and etc. all the way to F-4?_5.BMP. Then all you have to do is rename them to stock configuration.

Decals.ini needs editing by adding the correct path like so;

Notice the "D" in the path?F-4D\480\D\dam That is the folder that you will put in your skin folder and NOT decal folder in SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI .

 

This just to help some folks (like me) that does not have SF2/V yet and see those wonderful skins being released for SF2/V only. Now you do not have to wait to purchase even though you will need to get current. Times are evolving and don't want to be left behind. Maybe I should start panhandling? Oh wait! That is a no no since it is against the law!

What exactly am I seeing here? Does this have something to do with the new Afterburner node entry in the data.ini you were talking about with the T-38s?

 

I'm genuinely curious...I'm converting the mods I currently have in the pipeline to SF2 standard, and if there are new improvements, I'd like to take advantage of them.

Interesting, thanks for the info KB! Here's some early results on the AT-38B:

Obviously, it could be better tweaked with the TGA file...but its actually pretty easy to do in MAX. Also, much more dramatic at night.

 

And finally, this would be useful for non-AB aircraft as well. Some aircraft without burners can make parts of their engines glow and can be easily seen at night as a dull glowing red. This effect could be simulated with this new AB node effect pretty easily.

Well, it should not be long now for to get SF2/V and SF2/E (when it comes out). Got a interview today, finally! Air Freight Company needs a short haul driver to bounce back in forth between Love's Field and DFW. Hopeful to land this job. Thanks for your reply.
