Hauksbee 103 Posted June 29, 2009 To get some SPAD practice, I enlisted A. Billy Yank in the 94th Aero. After an unpleasent day of getting my butt handed to me by three Pfaltz's, [yesterday], I decided to play with a Nieuport 16 this morning. [still in the 94th] When I click "Go To Field" I get the following screens. First one says, 'This is not a OFF authorized plane...etc.,' and when I click the 'Done', I get the second screen saying that it's loading QC...and nothing happens. If I click inside the message: nothing. If I click outside, it goes away, and I'm left with a black screen...and a red-circle-with-diagonal-slash-cursor. No Start button or tool bar at the bottom of the screen. There's no way make anything happen on the screen. So I did a CTRL>ALT>DELETE and brought up the Task Manager, OFF was not in the list. [it was the only app. running anyway.] Open apps. are always in the list, and will say, 'Running', or, 'Not Running'. However; since I normally run two monitors, when I mouse over to the secondary screen [on the right side], I get my white arrow cursor back. And given the screen resolution, a small bit of the OFF screen always displays on the right. If I click the very bottom of the OFF screen, suddenly I can see the Start, and tool bar on the left screen. I can open other programs, copy/paste, etc.,...everything seems to be working, except OFF. If I try to launch a second instance of OFF, it refuses, saying that an instance is already running. The only way to close OFF seems to be doing a restart. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Herr Prop-Wasche 7 Posted June 29, 2009 Are you using one of the alternative DM's? If there is an error in the xdp file the affected plane will refuse to load and BHaH will lock up, requiring you to terminate the program using task manager (XP).

By 'alternate', I assume you mean non-OBD? No. Only patches downloaded from their site. Whatever the problem is, the Task Manager does not even see OFF, let alone allowing the TM to close it. [i am, by the way, using Vista 64]
Herr Prop-Wasche 7 Posted June 30, 2009 You might shoot an email to OBD support. They are very helpful and prompt with their replies.
