navychief Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 My wife and I drove up to Franklin, TN this past Saturday, to hear our favorite singer, Michael Johnson, perform. For those who may recall a song back in the late 70s called "Bluer Than Blue". Michael wrote it and performed it, and that song was a major hit. Anyway, I finally met Michael a few years back at a summer concert series in Chattanooga, and have stayed in contact with him ever since. His music is ageless, in my opinion. Great stuff. http://www.mjblue.com/ And he's a nice guy too! Navy Chief
navychief Posted January 12, 2004 Author Posted January 12, 2004 Oops....correction. Randy Goodrum wrote the song. Michael performed it though! NC
zagnut Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 A few months back, I got to see Loverboy perform "Workin for the Weekend". That was cool, but we had to sit through all their more obscure stuff in the early part. It was all free, so I'm not complainin'. I think they also had a song that was in the Top Gun soundtrack. I dunno
