Skypat Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 (edited) LoMan 2.0 is already in beta12 :) is some Biohazcentral staff guys are interested to join beta test just contact me by mail. skypat@checksix-fr.com sound OGG compression is now implemented useful for sounds addons, tutorials track..etc..etc.. in example.. i made a full sound package with 130 files from Greb - 24 mo in 'wav' files - 6.6 Mo in 'ogg' original (best) quality - 2.0 Mo in 'ogg' poor quality poor quality is very good also in fact... (for aircraft sound, maybe not for voice) Best regards Skypat Edited January 17, 2004 by Skypat Quote
GhostDog Posted January 17, 2004 Author Posted January 17, 2004 its good to know that its comming along well. I'm sad to say that i'm a bit pressed for time as it is, so i'm unfortunately not able to join the testers at this time. I hope some other staffers take you up on your offer though. I do have one wish for Loman: A good readme file that tells what all those settings that you can tweak with Loman actually does. Quote
Growler67 Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 (edited) Will it require a clean install or will it install over the v1.52? And where do I put it? In the Ubisoft folder or by itself...... Edited January 18, 2004 by Growler67 Quote
Growler67 Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 I finally made a complete abckup of LOMAC and put it on my second hard drive. D/L'd LOMAN and the skins and whatnot I was interested in from the Biohaz File Library. I am having a problem with installing LOMAN. Defragged my HD before starting, start the self install application, then in it's setup when it gets to "Registering Fonts" it locks up. 3 times now and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. WTFO? Growler67 Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Any update on the inbound v2.0? I know by the end of the month was a target date, just curious. Maybe I can ditch the v1.52 that won't install and go with the v2.0 from scratch. Quote

WTFO? hi ! this appear sometimes during installation process. i updated the installer, it's now fixed in upcoming 2.0 Some guys found a fix for 1.52 (not sure if it'll work) 0- disable your antivirus (font register issue...) 1- reboot your system 2- install setup immediatly. try it.. best regards Skypat Quote
GhostDog Posted January 24, 2004 Author Posted January 24, 2004 Hey Skypat Just to get this clear...its only neccesary to disable the antivirus sofware during the installation proceedure right? After that Loman shouldn't have any problems with antivirus software or what? GD Quote
Skypat Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 JUST for installing LoMan :) don't worry :) you can enabled your anti virus after installing Loman :) but it's only a tweak...not sure it work i have kasperspy antivirus and i don't need to disabled it for installing loman anyway, it's fixed in upcoming installer with 2.0 :) Quote
Growler67 Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Nope. Same thing, it gets to where the setup is registering fonts and hangs. I wait 30 seconds or so and I get a (Not Responding) in the title bar of the window. I'll just ditch the v1.52. Are we real close to v2.0? Will you be able to make your target date? Quote
