Fliegenhund 0 Posted July 28, 2009 I bumped up the flight density to medium for a new campaign I started to see the effect and there are definitely alot more enemy flights out there. What is the historical aspect of this setting in the workshop? Is the low setting the standard for realism? Thanks.
Olham 164 Posted July 28, 2009 Wouldn't you rather think, the "medium" setting should be? Or even the high density?
Creaghorn 10 Posted July 28, 2009 i keep it always on low because after trying high my rig was pretty much slowing down. i just reached feb. 1918 and even on low you can see very much more traffic, friends and foes, in the air than a year ago. i'll keep it on low. Olham 164 Posted July 28, 2009 (edited) Yes, I don't think, you have to change it to get the years' activities right. There will always be less activity in 1916 than in 1918. I have mine on "light", and encounter regularly 12 or more enemy fighters. For me, that is enough! Edited July 28, 2009 by Olham

For me, that is enough! with air activity is more meant how many squads are out there at one time, olham, not how many enemies you'll face each squad. when it's high, you'll meet on the way to the front some more jastas, more two seaters around, and more enemy squadrons. if you run into an enemy flight, you will still have maybe 12 enemies against, some km south is maybe an enemy two seater squad, in the west another spad-squad and so on. up to 256 aircraft at once i think. but all that activity is slowing a rig pretty down. at least mine. Fliegenhund 0 Posted July 28, 2009 I think I will keep it at low. Survivability in a DiD campaign is tough enough, running into 3 flights of 12 enemy fighters with 600 rounds on board will make it almost maniacal!
