The idea is that the 'link' will have the same pivot point as the flight control surface, but will be linked between the body and the flight control. Or, as a better example in a hierarchy: Fuselage -Canard Link --Canard Assign the "Canard Link" as a Aileron and the "Canard" as an Elevator, and now you have a control that visually 'blends' both inputs.
