The truth is the first I've heard of it.

This is absolutely crazy.

The battles are incredible.

I really have to try this game.

Thanks for the videos and screenshots.

Hey col. Gibbon bye.gif . So finally they oppened a EAW forum in combatace, what a good thing!

Like many of you EAW was also my "first love".

Thanks again for the tools you passed to me, they were very useful. I'm happy to see the game gets each time more interest.

I think I still have my EAW around somewhere. I played multiple BoB campaigns, but when it came time to start the 43 and 44 ones, I just lost interest. Compared to the BoB ones they seemed repetitive and less diverse. Lots of almost escort-only campaigns for the allies and bomber/fighter intercept only for the Germans got stale fast. I'm glad they've been able to alter the game to offer more...EAW was the last WWII sim I flew the campaigns in! I've played a lot of Il-2 in the past EIGHT years since release, but never made it past 3-4 missions in a campaign because the repetition/lack of diversity was worse than EAW's worst.

Looking at those shots, though, I can only think "turn on FSAA!!"

Hi,

do you never did try one of the addon campaigns??

Emil made very good mid/late war campaigns, the balance between the mission types is by far better.

With IL-2 i had same problems, i simply got bored offline. Online it was better, my squad already betatested IL-2, unfortunatelly some ugly features got solved only in the last years, or never. :(

For offliners "Addi Galland" (JG26) made very good professional IL-2 addon campaigns.

What a fine gameengine. :)

Greetings,

Knegel

Usually the windows Nt error message is triggered by attempting to run EAW from an exe that is called someting other than eaw.exe. Look at you main directory and see what the exe is called. If it is different than EAW.exe save a copy and change the on in the eaw folder to EAW.exe, then try it again.

Also, it is best to just copy the EAW cd into a new folder rather than installing it. Once you have copied it run it and start a career, start a misson then exit the program. The sim should run fine. If it does, then do the upgrades. If your Briefing Screen is messed up, that is a problem being sorted out currently by those working on 1.28C etc.
