Stanner 0 Posted December 28, 2009 I am new to OFF. I used F4 to toggle to the different views. Is the cockpit view, the VC cockpit? I ask this question since I cannot pan using the hat switch on my joystick. I can only click on various view positions while in the cockpit. I cannot just pan around as I can in FS2004. I read in the OFF Q&A #14 that the "panning speed" can be changed by editing the ViewUL.xml file found in two places, the main OFF folder, and in the Application folder. I found both these folders and tried to change the ROTATION RATE, but was not able to do so. I could not make any changes. In fact I could not type anything. How can I edit these files? So assuming there is a virtual cockpit, is this similar to FS2004 which permits smooth panning using the hat switch on my joystick? If yes, how can I get into the VC? How can I pan around while in th VC, rather than this snap views? Thanks, Stanner
almccoyjr 7 Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) Look here for VC information: http://forum.combatace.com/topic/51300-virtual-cockpit/ You'll need a Trackir4, 5 or something like Free Track to be able to "pan around" from within the cockpit. You can use Notepad to edit the files. plug_nickel (Al) Edited December 29, 2009 by almccoyjr
