OT: Something to watch with children

Just saw the Anime film "My neighbour Totoro".

A father moves to the Japanese countryside with his two daughters, into a house he has bought there.

While the mother is in hospital, the kids discover, that there seem to be ghosts in the house.

The younger child discovers kind of a "tunnel" through the green behind their house, follows it

and finds the sleeping forrest ghost Totoro...

 

A wonderful film with great pictures, that make you wish you where out there in the countryside

of old Japan. I thought I could almost breathe in the scents of the forrest after a rain.

 

Highly recommended for all with children - and all, who still have a child in them.

 

PS: the only other animated film of Miyazaki I know is "Princess Mononoke" - another

overwhelming trick film about the clash of humans and nature's ghost and demons.

The pictures and ideas he created, are first class!
