Danke Herr Olham!

What I wonder, is where the synchronized guns are on the fighters. They fire like they have none. Also, the constant firing without stoppages, if you hold the trigger like that, you'll melt the gun barrells, and warp them, or have guns so jammed, that they will be useless until serviced by the groundcrew.

That's the only thing I dislike about films, is how details are ignored. At least the Blue Max had synchronized guns firing, even if not 100%, they were close, and gave you the impression of what it was like.

Yeah, I know. The roll rates were too quick, balloons don't blow up through flares...

Let's hope, Peter Jackson will do a right one!

As long as some one does a "right" one, that doesn't turn into a stupid "chickflick". I went to enough of them with the ex to appease her, so she was obligated to go to my action / war flicks. She didn't care for Braveheart, or the Patriot, or Memphis Belle for that matter.

I did get her to watch the German made Stalingrad film, where it starts out at a hospital in Italy? But it was a good film! She didn't care for that one. Too rough I think. I don't remember who made that one, but let them do a WWI GAS film. She did sit through all 5 hours of Das Boot, and it was pretty rough in some spots. She actually liked that one.

Well, women don't normally like war films - it's a very male thing.

But women like to be inside, in a home, a nest - so she could like Das Boot!

(She was probably thinking all the time, that the men desperately needed

the help of a woman to make some order and get a clean place).

I think she liked mainly half naked men on the screen. Kinda like the scantily dressed frauleins in her love stories she liked to see, that's the main reason I went. Look at the girls, but not get in trouble. grin.gif
