Upgrade Advice

Hi Folks,

 

I suspect this board receives a lot of requests for upgrade suggestions. I hope I have posted in the correct place.

 

Here are my specs:

 

Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 - 2.5ghz, 800FSB, 2MB L2 cache

4 GB DDR2 Ram

ATI x1650xt 256Mb GDDR3

On Board Sound

Windows XP SP2

 

I would like to play OFF at a little above the Minimum Settings - perhaps like this:

 

Overall Graphic Detail: 3

Aircraft:5

Effects:2

Terrain:3

Scenery:3

Clouds:1

Skins settings: low - medium

 

 

My questions are :

 

1.) Am I okay with what I have?

2.) Should I spend 200.00 - 225.00 to upgrade my PSU from 350W to 450W and buy a 1GB Video Card?

3.) Or should I save and wait until I can drop 600.00 - 800.00 on a system with a faster chip - either duo or quad core and a 1Gb video card?

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
